We believe that the success of our schools depends largely on our teachers. The first requirement for all Little Pros Academy staff members is that they must love what they do. We seek unique individuals who are team players and dedicated to creating and maintaining a positive learning environment that is coupled with laughter and smiling faces.

Each school is supported by a Director, who must have previous day care center management experience, an appropriate degree and be certified to teach all training given to staff members. The Director is responsible for the overall operation of the facility with an emphasis on student related efforts of the Academy. There is also an Assistant Director, who supports the Director and fills the Director role in the Director’s absence.

All lead teachers have either a 2 or 4 year degree with 2 years of experience in working with children in a preschool setting. Assistant teachers must have a Child Care Credential, 2 years of experience and 6 semester hours in childhood education from an accredited college. Our floaters are required to hold a Child Care Credential.

Every member of our teaching staff goes through a complete and detailed training program during their first week of employment. This week includes in-depth training on Five Star Requirements, Child Abuse and Neglect, Fire Safety, Child Care Laws, Sanitation Laws and Guidelines, and the Little Pros System. In addition, all teachers are required to complete training in first aid and CPR.

An important part of LPA training includes a mentor program whereby an experienced LPA teacher becomes the mentor for each age group. The mentor’s responsibility is to provide training for all new staff for their respective age group. Each employee must also maintain his or her yearly in-service training requirements that are mandated by the state. Little Pros Academy provides monthly teacher workshops for our staff to attend in order to receive their hours that are required.
