Our preschool program is tailored to meet the educational and developmental needs of young children as they begin preparing for elementary school. Our degreed teaching staff develops daily lessons, which focus on all areas of development. Each preschool classroom is arranged in developmentally appropriate learning centers, including blocks, science, sand & water, dramatic play, math & manipulatives, language, writing, computers, gross motor, music & movement, and creative art. Children, with the guidance of their teachers, visit these centers to play, explore, experiment, and create at their own pace and developmental level.
A focus on self-help skills continues as preschoolers are encouraged to practice skills such as preparing and serving meals and snacks, cleaning up after themselves, shoe tying, and personal hygiene. Social skills are also a focus, as our teachers work with the children to model, teach, and encourage pro-social behavior.
Preschoolers continue daily participation in our Spanish Program. They continue visiting the gym regularly to participate in our Movement Program, and preschoolers begin daily participation in our Sports Skills Program, a non-competitive approach to learning about sports and the skills associated with those sports. In combination, all of our programs ensure a balanced, developmentally appropriate approach for all preschoolers to be successful.
