Little Pros Technology Program

Computer use is one of the most fascinating aspects of modern life. When you incorporate the innovative educational software available today, the computer can provide endless possibilities for fun, creativity and learning.

Each Little Pros Waddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten classroom is equipped with two computers. Developmentally appropriate software and activities are used to aid in the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development of each child.

Children learn many skills while using the computer. Initially, teachers work with children demonstrating and explaining the use of the computer, mouse, and keyboard. Physically, children develop their fine motor skills when they are allowed to use computers. They also develop hand-eye coordination, visual discrimination, and auditory discrimination, as well as enhanced communication skills. As children become skilled at using the mouse and keyboard, developmentally appropriate software is implemented.

Skills associated with math, science, music, art, language, and sports are practiced. Children learn cooperation, respect, and responsibility from using the computer. Programs that teach, encourage, and reinforce the development of appropriate social skills are also used. As a result of all of their efforts and achievements in using the computer, children become confident and take pride in themselves.
